Evolution of behavioral research on E‐waste management: Conceptual frameworks and future research directions

The rapid growth of e-waste or waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) has garnered significant attention from scholars, particularly in the behavioral domain. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis content provide systematic review WEEE-behavioral research. Firstly, was performed using Biblioshiny (R packages) on sample 293 articles Scopus WOS databases. part addresses research question: A) How domain evolved over time terms key journals, institutions, countries, trending topics, streams? Secondly, conducted 41 relevant that were able address following questions: B) What are main theories utilized their implications research? C) what potential directions for future findings reveal two distinct categories, namely circular economic behavior spillovers, with seven underlying emerging clusters followed by corresponding streams. Additionally, theory planned (TPB) emerged as core extensively expanded upon. Consequently, this contributes 1) understanding evolution domain, 2) proposing an integrated theoretical framework, 3) identifying primary streams interconnections, 4) suggesting avenues research, supported robust conceptual model hypothesis generation.
